Charity
As we approach the holidays it is only normal that our thoughts turn to the kindness and giving that is as much a part of humanity as the yelling and cursing we see around us on the roads every day. We worry for the less fortunate and feel sorrow for those who are ill and look for ways to do what we can to make the world a better place for all of these folks, through whatever minor means we are able. To that end, I'd like to offer up the following and a charitable organization worth giving to and worth giving to repeatedly, in large amounts.
Child's Play is a charity started last year by a couple of web comics that was run in an underground, word of mouth sort of way. Despite this, these guys gathered around a $250k in donations for the Children's Hospital in Seattle. This year they're doing it again and have broadened their scope to include other regional Children's Hospitals, including the one in Houston. Based on their good deeds last year and their increased scope, I highly recommend their charity for those of you who are looking to make a ill child just a littler happier this year.
