What's up with the NCAA?

They're being idiots by doing this. I don't understand it. Actually, I do a little, if Bloom were accepting endorsements for playing football, but he's not. He's accepting endorsements for skiing. It's even from different vendors, who wouldn't endorse football and aren't associated in anyway with football.

It's issues like this that makes me wonder about the benefits of the NCAA and how they control the sports organizations at colleges and universities. It raises all sorts of anti-competitive practice questions and I hope that Bloom and UC appeal this outside the NCAA.
